The basis of my work is photography - Collecting (moving) images is shaped by the embodied experience of moving through space and the momentum of the situational. A form of practical memory, an exercise in awareness, a metaphorical projection, and a displacement of linguistic usage. A fragment becomes a window, memory becomes surface, meaning and significance emerge when information is later shifted from one position to another, expanding in space in a network-like manner through color, form, object, and material.

Koa Koppenhöfer (*1993) is a german media artist and photographer. She is interested in technology, perception, bodies, and space. She studied @ Hochschule für Grafik- und Buchkunst Leipzig @class for installation and space with Prof. Joachim Blank and for a semester abroad with a schoolarship from DFJW/AFJ and Erasmus+ @ École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts Lyon. She currently lives in Berlin.
